Class 155 - Northern - 155346 - OO Scale ERA_Privatisation circa 1946The British Rail Class 155 diesel multiple unit (DMU) was introduced in 19871988. Built by Leyland at Workington, 42 two car units were produced using construction methods from the bus building industry. Shortly after entering service, structural faults, including body cracks, led to the fleet being temporarily withdrawn. Rather than restoring them as two car sets, British Rail split 35 units into single vehicles, creating the Class 153 between 1991
