Hemp fibers are broken down into individual strands and glued together using a combination of soy protein and cross linking binders, heat, and pressure. The timber is cut to achieve the appearance, width and thickness desired. Note from Ed: HempWood is NOT for the beginner! Sharp tools and a steady hand will result in an outstanding pen, but I have blown up several in the learning process.
