Kähler Glazed Chamotte Bowl lidded box At the 1867 Paris ExpositionThis pretty little vase has a beautifully layered, high fired glaze in deep teal blue with subtle tonal variation, characteristic of mid century Khler ceramics. The surface shifts from saturated gloss to a dry, iron rich break at the shoulder, revealing the warmth of the natural clay beneath. Incised wave motifs catch and deepen the glaze, creating movement and depth, while a fine, natural crazing adds a soft, time earned patina. I love these pieces
