The barrel shape is a simple form, with a short stem that is elegant to hold and without the spill factor of tall stemware. This pattern was introduced in 1880 as the Beatrice Toddy Glass, and as Red Wine Glasses in the early 20th Century. This version is made by Holmegaard Glasvrk between 1910 (stamped).
