This jar was handmade by me in my Connecticut studio: cut from a sheet of copper with a jeweler's saw; sanded, shaped, and soldered; polished; and finally treated to produce a permanent blue patina and sealed to protect from scratches. Copper is the traditional gift for the seventh wedding anniversary.
