Flying in the Wind - Venice Beach 2004 Tote capturing his poise and sophisticationWhile riding my bike along Venice Beach on a sunny afternoon, I noticed three people climbing the dunes to take in the ocean view. The Santa Ana winds were strong that day, whipping up waves and swirling sand into the air. At the top of the dune, they stretched their arms out as if flying, leaning back against the force of the wind. The scene was pure magicthe freedom and joy of youth, infectious and uplifting, like laughter carried on the breeze.
