Fiber Art Sculpture -Linked On Inquiry Through repeated knotting and shapingLinked is a minimalist fiber wall sculpture that transforms traditional maritime knotting into a contemporary form. Cotton 45 x 4 x 4 in 2023 Inspired by traditional nautical knots, this piece reinterprets the barrel knot as a sculptural composition. I braid soft cotton using the macram crown knot technique and then shape the resulting rope into the barrel knot form, creating a tactile rhythm that bridges tradition and contemporary fiber art.
