Kimono Ikat Silk 14" x 22" PIECE From Japan #140 Swirls + Paisleys then worked by expert buttonSlubby parchment ecru beige, lightweight and slubby, with floating, blurry flowers in gray with a bit of white and light red. Hexagon shapes which in Japan signify tortoise shells, or Kikko. Not a print, it's all done in the difficult ikat weave. Thin, light silk is slightly crisp, with no drape and a bit of body. The ecru color does get slightly lighter or darker in some areas, adding to its antique look we're not sure if it's intentional or not. 14"
